RINGGOLD, Ga. — The Tennessee Golf Association/Toyota Junior Tour took a short detour to The Peach State Monday with a trio of Bradley County golfers sweeping the Boys Masters competition.

Playing the Windstone Golf Club in Ringgold, Ga., Cleveland High senior Carson Griffith, Walker Valley sophomore Dylan Lillard and Parker Gray, who was a standout on the Ocoee Middle team this past season, all captured top honors in event.

All three posted 4-over-par scores with Griffith and Lillard each shooting 76 to win the Boys 16-18 and 13-15 Masters divisions, while Gray had a 40 nine-hole total, tops among the Boys 13-under class. Lillard and Gray each had to win a playoff to claim their crowns.

Griffith edged out Colton Miller of Rockvale by a single stroke to win the oldest age division title. The Blue Raider veteran carded a 39 on the front nine and then shot 1-over after the turn to claim the victory.

After a 40 on the front, Lillard had to shoot even par on the final nine holes to match the effort of Justin Hickman of Chickamauga, Ga., who shot 39-37, and force a playoff. Cory Rollins and Tucker Jones finished third and fourth in the Boys 13-15 Masters with respective scores of 83 and 86.

Gray and Chattanooga’s Sam Marshall both fired 40s in the nine-hole competition causing the day’s top competitors to go to a playoff. Cleveland’s Nickolas McCracken came in fourth in the division with a 43.

In the girls’ competition, Rheagan Hall of Charleston posted the second-lowest tally of the day with a 42-42 — 84 to take runner-up honors in the 15-under Masters division.

Decatur’s Kaitlyn Sneed was low medalist among the girls with a 4-over 76 to win the age bracket. Walker Valley’s Katie Medley took sixth place in the same division.

Cleveland’s Allen Swetman tied for sixth place in the Boys 13-15 Tour division with a 91, while locals Torr Coulthard, Matthew Marino and Seth Neighbors finished 10th, 11th and 13th in the Boys 10-13 Tour bracket.
