Keyai D. “Hammer” Crenshaw, 19, of Cleveland went home to be with the Lord, July 7, 2013, at Athens Regional Hospital.
He was preceeded in death by his father, Carl D. Crenshaw; his grandmother, Dorothy A. Pitner; and his aunt, Debra Duncan.
He attended Walker Valley High School. He enjoyed sports, having a passion for wrestling in which he participated, excelled, and obtained many awards. He loved motorcycles, cars and his dog, "Cujo."
Survivors include his mother, Janie Hunter of Cleveland; two sisters: Kimonique Smith of Cleveland and Keyana Wynn of Madisonville; stepsister: Deadra (Christ) Roberts; stepbrother: Montes Westfield, both of Cleveland; his grandparents: Thomas (Roberta) Jackson of Etowah; niece, KhaLyil Whaley of Cleveland; six uncles; two aunts; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, along with special friend, Keyisha Thompson.
Visitation will be at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16, 2013, from 1 until the 2 p.m service time at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward S. Robinson officiating.
The Rev. Rhonda S. Westfield of St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church will be the eulogist. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Cemetery.
