Several reports of damaged mailboxes due to vandalism have been noted over the past few days.

According to reports from the weekend, Don Foster reported someone vandalized his mailbox along with several others in the Bates Pike area.

Deputy Cordus Waller filed reports in the area of Mouse Creek Road Sunday.

According to his report, George Rogers said at least five mailboxes were destroyed in the 8000 block of Mouse Creek Road.

“Damage appeared to be deliberated and consisted of Mr. Rogers’ mailbox being ripped off the post, as well as the post being broken,” Waller noted in his report.

Damage estimates were not listed.

Both areas have been placed on extra patrol.

n A Minnis Road resident reported someone came onto her property and took a lawnmower.

According to a report filed by deputy Travis Mull of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, he spoke with Tonya Robinson.

Robinson said someone took her Troy-Bilt push mower from the porch of her home.

Robinson didn’t place a value on the missing lawnmower.

n Randy Bacon of a 15th Street address said someone entered his property and took several items.

Galvanized fence posts, air conditioners and other items were taken.

The missing items were valued at $265.
