Tuesday night’s rescheduled rematch between the Mosby Park Waterdogs and the Cleveland Aqua Tigers never got the chance to get underway, but not because of threatening weather.

According to Waterdogs coach Kristy Snider, the pool pump at Mosby Park quit working and had to be sent out for repairs.

Due to the unexpected mechanical snafu, the Waterdogs forfeited to the Aqua Tigers.

Prior to the original meet being called due to weather, the Aqua Tigers had been ahead after the first three freestyle races.

Thursday’s meet between the Waterdogs and the Ringgold (Ga.) TigerSharks is supposed to be held at Mosby Park, but if the pump is not fixed by then the meet will be held at the Cleveland Community Center or down in North Georgia.

The Aqua Tigers will also be in action Thursday, as they host the Calhoun Swim Team.
