Walker Valley golfer Kyle Limburg and Cleveland Middle’s Rheagan Hall earned runner-up honors in their respective ages divisions at the Patriot Hills Golf Club.
Limburg and Kingsport’s Ben Laube were neck-and-neck throughout the day fighting for the top spot in the Boys 16-18 Masters title with just one stroke separating them when all was said and done.
Laube carded an 84 while Limburg was right on his heels with an 85, eight strokes better than the next competitor.
In the Girls 15-under Masters, Hall fired a 10-over 82, putting the Charleston resident three strokes behind Kelly Herman of Maryville, who was one of only two golfers on the day to break 80. Herman and Boys 13-15 Masters Division winner Sam Jones of Knoxville, both shot 79s.
Danielle Bates of Benton posted a sixth place finish in the Girls 15-under Masters with a 92.
Across the river at the Dayton Country Club, four local golfers also took to the links in another TGA Junior Tour event.
Benton’s Lauren Passmore had the best showing among the foursome with a third place in the Girls 12-18 Tour Division, carding a 94.
Allen Swetman of Cleveland also fired a 94 to tie for third place in the Boys 13-15 Tour Division. Pete Williams, also from Cleveland, took 11th in the same division with a 117.
In the Boys 10-13 Tour Division, Cleveland’s Seth Neighbors finished third with a nine-hole 70.
