David Ray Trentham, 71, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2013, at the family residence.

He was a former employee with Hardwick Stove and was a member of Ball Play Baptist Church in Old Fort. He was also a little league baseball coach years back.

He was the son of the late Carl Ray Arthur Trentham and Mamie Carr Trentham. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Carl “Buck” Trentham, Hugh Trentham and Don Trentham; and sisters: Imagene Trentham, Nell Trentham, Bonnie Trentham, Peggy Trentham and Jane Trentham.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Martha Trentham; daughter, Sherry Wilson and her husband, Doug; and his son, Arthur Trentham, all of Old Fort; grandchildren: Cassie Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Larae Trentham and Mason Trentham, all of Old Fort; brother, Danny Trentham and his wife, Barbara, of Cleveland; his sisters: Eva Dyer and Stella Vaughn, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Ball Play Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Webb, the Rev. Darren Fansler and Pastor Matthew Harris officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Mason Trentham, Matthew Wilson, Harold Black, Mac Wilcoxon, Eric Rodden and Curtis Trentham serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
