Since 1989, the Kiwanis Club of Cleveland has been helping local young people by providing over $50,000 in scholarships. Based on merit and need, the scholarships are funded through the club’s Youth and Community Services Foundation.
Thus far, the 19 Foundation recipients have attended 12 different colleges and universities.
Higher education is becoming more of a necessity than just a desire for many local students. The new industries in our area are demanding highly-educated employees for their companies. With college tuitions spiraling sharply upward, students are searching everywhere for financial assistance.
The Kiwanis Scholarship can be an asset for many college students. The scholarship funds will be sent directly to the selected colleges and universities after the recipients are selected.
