There will be programs each week which will explore a different area pertaining to our theme. The sessions will be educational but fun. There will be stories, games, videos, and other incentives to show children that you can enjoy reading.
Children, ages 6 through 12, can sign up for a group that meets on Mondays at 2 or 4 p.m., Wednesdays at 11 a.m., Thursdays at 7 p.m. or Saturdays at 2 p.m.
In addition, there will be special programs during the summer from the Lost Sea, Chattanooga Zoo, Creative Discovery Museum and a Mid-Summer’s Dig Day.
As always, children, who read 20 books and turn in their reading logs by July 27, will receive a Goody Bag and a Summer Reading Program Certificate that you can show off to your friends, family and your teacher.
“Beneath the Surface” is the teen program which will kick off with a Zombie Prom on June 8 at 7 p.m. This event will be for ages 13 through 17 and will have a live DJ. Teens will be meeting after hours during the summer at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
