William Ray Loftis, 92, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday morning, May 2, 2013, at a local health care facility.
He was the son of the late J.C. and Ollie Firestone Loftis of Polk County. He was also preceded in death by his wives: Anna Ruth Loftis, and infant, and also Bonita Godfrey Loftis; brothers: Oscar, Jack and John Loftis; and sisters: Mary Etta Loftis, Martha Houlk, Grace Goins, Lennie Boyd and Virgie Loftis.
He was employed by the Cleveland Enamel Co. for 41 years. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church until failing health.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, friends and special friends and caregivers Roy and Betty McAllister.
A Remembrance of life graveside service will be held at 3:30 Sunday afternoon, May 5, 2013, at the Zion Baptist Church in Benton with Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating and nephews serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
