The Rev. Ralph “Peanut” Works, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, at the family residence.

He was a Baptist minister for more than 50 years and was retired from Maytag with more than 35 years of service.

He was the son of the late George and Violet Works. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Evelyn Works.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and caregiver, Robin Works of Cleveland; his son, Danny Works and his wife, Karrie, of Cleveland; grandson, James Works of Cleveland; sister, Margaret Farmer of Charleston; brothers: Bill and Geraldine Works of Old Fort; Thomas and Mary Works, Gordon Works and Robert Works, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service was held at 11 a.m. today, April 25, 2013, at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Rob Works, Waymond Cooper and Eric Green officiating.

Interment followed in the Johnston Cemetery.
