THREE NEW TANKERS and two new engines have been bought to supply Bradley County Fire and Rescue stations 10-13 with proper transportation and tools. Dan Howell, assistant to the Bradley County Mayor, said the recent purchases were in preparation for the county assuming fire protection for everything outside of the city limits as of July 1. County Mayor D. Gary Davis praised the recent changes. “BCFR has made great strides in the past six months. When all the trucks are delivered, we will have one of the best equipped fire departments in Tennessee, and we’ll be ready to provide good fire protection for all areas outside the city on July first,” Davis said. The two new engines are expected to arrive toward the end of April. From left are Brent Frakes, Shawn Ellis, Nick Lamb, Anton Kiyan, Jesse Gann and Matt Mundall.
