SEVERAL HUNDRED residents visited the Ace Hardware/McIntire Insurance weather radio event Saturday.  A number of public safety agencies took part in keeping the community informed by handing out literature.

OFFICIALS WITH the Cleveland-Bradley County Emergency Management Agency programmed weather radios for area residents who either qualified to receive one at no charge, or those who bought them at a reduced price Saturday during a Weather Awareness event hosted by Ace Hardware. More than 160 radios were set up with the correct frequencies for residents during the event.
