Barbara Longwith, 71, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning, April 9, 2013.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1941, a daughter of the late James and Lola Buckner.

She was of the Pentecostal faith. She worked for many years locally as a CNA for Bradley Health Care and also Bradley Memorial Home Health and retired from there after 13 years of service. She enjoyed helping others in their time of need. She will be most remembered for being a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Haney; and one brother, James O. Buckner.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Hoyt Longwith; one daughter, Karen Sue Severian (Jose) of Stephenville, Texas; one son, Michael Lee Longwith of Cleveland; one brother, Douglas Buckner (Trudy) of Marietta, Ga.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in law: Pat Buckner of Dayton and Donna Bain of Cleveland; two brothers-in-law: Fleatus Longwith (Audrey) of Cleveland and Ronnie Miller (Debbie) of Riceville; and numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

In honor of Barbara’s wishes the family will hold a graveside service on Friday, April 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
