Jewell Lee White Swinford, 69, of Benton, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1944, in a log cabin in Madisonville. The cabin was built by her father and her relatives still live in it today.

She was preceded in death by her loving father and mother, Lloyd and Mamie White; and her baby sister, Dean White.

She lived and worked for many years in the family-owned restaurant, “64 Truck Stop” before she became a nurse and worked many years at Life Care. She retired from Life Care and made Benton her home until she made heaven her home on April 2, 2013.

She is survived by her four loving daughters: Darlene Green and her children, Joshua, Jonathan and Shauna; Sonya Truelove and her son, Michael; Sherry Cross and spouse, Dewayne, and children Robert, Tasha, and Aaron; Sheila Murfin and spouse, Kim, and children Natasha and Alexus; brother, Beecher White and spouse, Francis; and sister, Betty Cooley and spouse, Paul.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday April 6, 2013, at Washington Avenue Baptist Church, 1720 Perry St. S.E., Cleveland TN 37311. The funeral will be at held at 1 p.m. at the church.

Interment will follow at Hopewell Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Madisonville.
