James Cecil Thompson, 48, of Cleveland, died Saturdaym March 23, 2013.

He was a graduate of Cleveland High School Class of 1984. He was of the Methodist faith.

He was the son of the late Edna Thompson; and was also preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Robinson; brother, Theron Cox; and grandparents, August and Rosa Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Princess Dawson Thompson, of Talladega, Ala.; two daughters: Raven and Vanessa Thompson, both of Talladega; father, Cecil (Ann) Cox of Cleveland; brother, Michael Anthony Thompson of Decatur; seven sisters: Robin (Freddie) Fletcher, Tabitha Woods, Nicole (Anthony) Hall, Jamesse Cox and Jasmine Cox, all of Cleveland; and Dewanna Sharp and Leslie Cox, both of Los Angeles; special nieces and nephews, Tanesha (Marcus) Parish of Chattanooga, Tony (Lisa) McCleary and Jayden Carter, both of Cleveland, and Nykolas Ennols of California; stepbrother, Wesley Constant; stepsisters: Tasha Brown and Sasha Brown, both of Cleveland; several other great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends; special cousin, Fredrick Thompson of Savannah, Ga.; and special friend, Glenn Pearson.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the chapel of M.D. Dotson and Sons Funeral Home in Cleveland with the Rev. Ronnie Pearson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home, from noon to 1 p.m. Interment will follow at St. Elmo Church Cemetery in Georgetown.
