He was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church in Polk County. He had served as a pastor at Life Care in Cleveland for the past six years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel M. Womac and Lillie F. Walker Womac; and brothers: Billy Ray Womac, Bo Womac and Jesse Tommy Womac.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Womac of Cleveland; children: Darby Womac, Misty Howard and husband, Lamar, and Travis Womac, all of Cleveland; grandchildren: Tra Howard, Caleb Womac, Shae Howard, Alexis Womac and Jeremiah Howard; brothers: Clifford Womac and Gene Taylor Womack, both of Charleston, Jimmy Womac and Eddie Womac, both of Cleveland, and Lon Womac of Athens; sisters: Roberta Powell of Riceville, Linda Jones and Joan Saunders, both of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Welcome Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Maxwell officiating.
Interment will follow in Womac Cemetery in McMinn County.
The service will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fike Funeral Home.
