Mary L. Rose, 82, a lifelong resident of Cleveland until recently residing in Sweetwater, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, in a Sweetwater hospital.

She was of the Methodist faith. She had suffered with Alzheimer’s disease for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles James Rose; and her parents, Lynn Ledford and Lula German Ledford.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and David Beckler of Spring City; son, Charles Ray Rose of Huntsville, Ala.; four grandchildren: Amee and Bill Oldham, Jonah and Jen Beckler, all of Knoxville, and Mary Anna Rose and Emma Elizabeth Rose, both of Huntsville, Ala.; two great-grandchildren: Natalee Rose Oldham and Marrett Lacee Beckler; and a host of friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tom Wickes officiating

Jonah Beckler, Bill Oldham, Ray Beckler, Randy Fox, Bubba Crye and Charlie McKenzie will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Pat Summitt Foundationa at 625 Market Street, Suite 1400, Knoxville, TN, 37902 to fund research for a cure for Alzheimer’s.
