Tadd A. Grider, 37, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

He was a member of First Baptist Church where he and his wife taught elementary school age students for the past five years.

He and his room-brightening personality will be greatly missed. His ministry as a Sunday school teacher touched the lives of many children. He was a devoted husband, loving father and cherished son.

He was to graduate from Lee University in May of this year with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. He coached and was active in a variety of youth sports programs in the Bradley County area.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Grider.

He has left behind the love of his life, his wife of 10 years, Amanda Grider; two daughters whom he adored more than life: Katie and Hannah; parents, Greg and Robin Grider; one sister, Whitney Bowman and husband, Dustin; one nephew, Avery Bowman; grandparents, Wanda Grider and Ben and Marilyn Kirkland; and aunts and uncles: Marilyn and Doug Smith, and Randy and Teresa Kirkland, all of Cleveland.

The funeral will be held at 6:30 p.m. today, March 15, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Red Hill Cemetery with Jamie Fox, Joe Starr, Stacy Smith, Ty Moreland, Matt Schenck and Ben Kirkland serving as pallbearers.

A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.
