Thomas “Rocky” Long, 42, a resident of Ooltewah, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, in an East Ridge Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga being born here on May 28, 1970.
He is preceded in death by grandparents: Taft and Tommie Lee Fairfax and Vaughn and Mayme Long.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Holly; two children: Katelyn and Tommy; mother, Lee Anne Filburn; father, Thomas Long; sister, Leesa Kelley (Jerry); nieces: Chandler Kelley and Chelsea Miller; and numerous other extended family members and friends. They all loved him dearly will cherish his memory forever.
A celebration of his life will be held at 7 p.m. today, March 12, 2013, at the Collegedale Community Church, 4955 Swinyar Drive in Collegedale, with Pastor Jerry Arnold officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church today from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service time.
The family will hold a private interment on Wednesday in the New McDonald Cemetery in Ooltewah.
