Robert J. “Dean” Sharp, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday evening, March 10, 2013, in a local health care facility.
He was the son of the late Zelma Hall Sharp and Henderson W. Sharp. He was preceded in death by first wife, Betty Jo Stringer Sharp; his second wife, Barbara Jean Marshall Sharp; his granddaughter, Kimberly Monday; grandson, James Beavers; and his brothers: Jerry, Larry and H.J. Sharp.
He was retired from Kyle Dodge with 30 years of service.
He enjoyed traveling to Florida in his Cadillac and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed working and cleaning old cars. He was a member of Southview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Sharp, of Cleveland; daughters: Doris Ann Price and her husband, Anthony, of McDonald, Betty Jo Britt and Rebecca Sue Beavers, both of Cleveland; sons: Robert Earl Sharp and his wife, Tammy, of Riceville, Terry Lee Sharp and his wife, Debbie, and Jimmy Dean Sharp and his wife, Sheila, all of Cleveland; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Pauline Painter, Rena Bell Pritchard and her husband, Jim, and Brenda Gill Taylor, all of Cleveland; brothers: Andrew Sharp and his wife, Sandy, and Henderson Sharp and his wife, Faye, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 1 p.m. from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Ronnie Ledford officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Jason, Jeremy and Dustin Sharp, Daniel Britt, Billy Thomas and Jimmy Ledford serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 9 this evening at the funeral homes.
