According to a report filed by deputy Doug Boucher of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, he arrested and charged Barry Lynn Casson, 36, of Grey’s Ferry Road in Georgetown.
Casson reportedly parked under the carport at the home of Dwight Stevenson and allegedly loaded a washer, dryer and other items from the home.
Stevenson arrived home and saw what was happening. Casson attempted to leave and Stevenson attempted to block the truck in his driveway.
According to the report, Casson fled the scene and Boucher located the suspect’s vehicle on Highway 64, making a traffic stop and eventually an arrest after an investigation revealed Casson allegedly forced entry to the home and took the items.
Casson was charged with aggravated burglary, driving on a suspended license and violation of the light law.
He was taken to the Bradley County Jail and booked on the charges, according to the report.

The checkpoints will be set up in random location in the county Sunday.
According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public, by motorists who would violate the driver’s license laws of the state.
All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
