Scotty Lee Goodner, 38, was taken into custody late Tuesday evening at the residence of Kristie Peterson, according to a report filed by deputy Daniel Watson.
Deputies had responded to the residence after a burglary in progress call.
Goodner was allegedly hiding in the shower and after he was taken into custody, law enforcement reportedly located alleged drug paraphernalia and items from inside the apartment on his person.
Goodner was taken to the Bradley County Jail and booked on aggravated burglary, theft under $500, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools.
n Clothing and other items were taken from a Johnson Boulevard address, as reported to authorities this week.
A report filed by officer Bobby Ruth of the Cleveland Police Department named Terry Rodgers as the complainant.
Rodgers said he noticed the rear door of his house unlocked and several items missing from his garage.
Porcelain dolls were missing from inside the house and clothing which had been stored inside the garage was missing.
A number of hand tools were also taken from a storage building.
Rodgers said the house had been vacant at the time of the burglary.
He estimated his loss at $5,605.
Detective Walter Mitchell has been assigned the case.
n A cellphone was taken from an employee at a local convenience store while she worked.
According to a report filed by deputy Doug Boucher of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, Shelby Dunn was working at the Kangaroo Mart on Waterlevel Highway Tuesday evening.
According to his report, Dunn believed someone took her Samsung Galaxy from a jacket pocket between 8 and 9 p.m. that evening.
Dunn had pulled her jacket off to do some cleaning, according to the report.
The phone was valued at $600.
