FOURTH-GRADE CLASSES at Blythe-Bower Elementary participated in a College Readiness event sponsored by First Baptist of Cleveland's College Ministry Department. Six college students from neighboring universities volunteered their time to speak and promote going to college. Students discussed motivation and learning, the application process, scholarship opportunities, academic programs, courses of study, and college life. Following the discussion the fourth-grade class had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss the university they wish to attend and what major and career vocation they would like to study. Students attending Lee University, Cleveland State Community College, Liberty University and Clemson University participated.
