She was born Feb. 1, 1931, to the late Arthur and Mae (Rymer) Merrell.
She was a member of Greasy Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Russell Wilcox; two infant brothers; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Wilcox.
She is survived by her son, Clifford Ray Wilcox and wife, Jeanne; grandchildren: Christopher S. Wilcox and Stacy R. Wilcox, all of Cleveland; brother, Fred Merrell and wife, Una; sisters: Beatrice Wilcox and Minnie Lowe and husband, J.M, all of Reliance; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Jones officiating.
Interment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in Greasy Creek Cemetery.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
