The Cherokee Beekeepers Association will host its 43rd annual Beekeeping Short Course Feb. 23, from 9:30 a.m to  2 p.m. at the Valley Farmers CO-OP on Congress Parkway, Athens. Beginning beekeeping will be taught along with displays, door prizes and refreshments.  Two hive grants will be given away to beginning beekeepers. The course is free and open to anyone interested in beekeeping.  The association was founded August 1969. CBA is dedicated to the education and promotion of beekeeping in Southeast Tennessee.
