The new Eagle Scouts are Brett Buckner, Patrick Shultz, Cody Griswold and Daniel Verner.
Brett is the son of Missy and Todd Buckner.
His project was to build two raised beds in the community garden sponsored by First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
His project also included building two benches to allow people to sit outside in the garden.
Brett was a senior at Walker Valley High School, when he completed his project in April 2012. He is attending Lee University.
Brett is a member of the Prospect Church of God.
Patrick is the son of Karen Shultz.
His project was to repair the fence surrounding the children’s playground at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and to replace the broken swings.
Patrick, who was a junior at Polk County High School when he completed his project in March 2012, is now a senior at Walker Valley High School. He plans to attend Lee University upon graduation.
Patrick is a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Cody’s project was to repair the fence in the end zone of the football field at Chilhowee Middle School.
Cody, a junior at Polk County High School when he completed his project in 2012, is now a senior.
The son of Lou and Don Griswold, Cody plans to join the Air Force upon graduation.
He is a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
The son of Frederick and Denise Verner, Daniel installed a new and bigger sign, and painted lines in the parking lot of the River of Life Thrift Store to created a handicapped parking space.
Daniel is a senior at Bradley Central High School. His project was completed in November 2012. He plans to join the Army after graduation.
Daniel is a member of Kinser Church of God.
Lowe’s of Cleveland, Rocky King of Benton, and Quick Signs of Cleveland helped the boys with these Eagle projects.
