Robert Lee “Bob” Davis, 61, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Monday morning, Feb. 4, 2013, at the residence.

He was the son of the late, Ruby Lee Beaty Andrea and Reed Beaty. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Stacy Lee Patterson; his brother, Allen Reed Beaty; and an infant brother; and his sister, Angela Rose.

He worked in Carpet Mills most of his life with most recent Mohawk Carpets. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, working in the yard and working in his flower and vegetable garden. He attended the Baptist church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Davis of Old Fort; his sons: Joshua Davis of Chatsworth, Ga., and Malcom “Pee Wee” Crisp of Crandall, Ga.; his daughters: Pauline Davis, Joanne Davis and Felica Davis, all of Chatsworth, Ga.; six grandchildren; his brothers: Larry Davis and his wife, Wanda, of McKee, Ky., Cecil Davis and his wife, Pam, of Crandall, and Steve Davis and his wife, Sonia, of Oneda; his sisters: Betty McNeese and her husband, Joe, of Crandall, Margaret Merrell of Dalton, Ga., Rita Borowiec of Dalton, Rhonda Hunter and her husband, Kim, of Chatsworth, Teresa Newport and her husband, Burt, Carolyn Smith and her husband, Lillard, and Cheryl Spradlin, all of Oneda; special aunt, Joy Parson of Crandall ;and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Matthew Harris officiating.

Interment will follow in Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
