The award will be presented during an award tea on Friday.
Savage is the daughter of Barry and Ginger Savage. She is a member of the National Honor Society, BETA Club, Anchor Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where she is the senior co-captain. She is a four year Circle of Champions Honor Student, Honor Roll member, a Tennessee Scholar and is a candidate for the P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) STAR Scholarship.
Savannah was chosen for the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber Youth Leadership Program, was selected as a Girls State Delegate, participated in Distinguished Young Women of Cleveland and writes a column for the Walker Valley Times Newspaper. She was elected to serve on Student Government as class secretary her junior year and student body secretary her senior year. She has also been involved with Diamond Darlings serving as president her junior and senior years. This year she co-founded the Grid Iron Girls, a club to support the Football Boosters, and served as senior captain.
Her community activities include involvement with Creating Christmas Memories, Relay for Life, Toms One Day Without Shoes, Love Cleveland, Operation Christmas Child and Habitat for Humanity.
As a member of First Baptist Church Savannah has been involved in Student Senate, Chapel Choir, Promise Music Ensemble, Vacation Bible School as teacher and music leader, Disciple NOW, Children’s Ministry, Girls Ministry Retreats, middle school camp counselor. She has also served on the mission field with teams in Virginia, New Orleans, Chicago, New York City and internationally in Quito, Ecuador. At church she is also involved with a leadership program through Student Leadership University where she has attended conferences in Nashville, North Carolina, Atlanta, Washington D.C. and this summer will participate in SLU 301 in Europe.
