Tomielene Duncan Davis Sorg, 85, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was a lifelong member of Big Spring United Methodist Church and retired from Kmart Corp. after 25 years of service, beginning at SS Kressge in the 1960s.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Duncan and Lillian Duncan; stepmother, Eunice Duncan; sister, Irene Geren; and first husband, Dewey “Bud” Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Sorg of Ohio; son, Dewey Bryan Davis and wife, Robin; granddaughter, Samantha Davis of Louisville; stepgranddaughter, Brittany Strain and husband, Clayton, of Cleveland; several close cousins: Leola and Robert Evans, Johnnie and Barbara Humberd and Paul and Betty Humberd; stepchildren: Jeff Sorg, Randy Sorg and Mike Sorg, all of Ohio, Linda Nicoson of Iowa and Pam Sorg of Arizona; and lifelong friend, Betty Geren of Cleveland.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. today, Feb. 3, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Johnnie Humberd officiating.

Interment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Strain, Johnny Moses, Brent Fenton, Derrick Fenton, Nicholas Lewis and Terry Evans with an alternate of Lynn Beaver.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.
