Stitches in time quilt show at the Museum Center at Five Points will run through March 9. Quilts have topped more than 90 beautiful creations — from antiques to small wall hangings and even large bed quilts.

Newcomers of Cleveland will have its next general meeting on Monday at 9:45 a.m. at Broad Street United Methodist Church. The meeting will consist of a potluck brunch (bring a covered dish) and playing games afterward. Bring a friend and meet your neighbors from Cleveland. Body Recall classes for all ages, 10 to 100, will begin Wednesday. Classes will be held from noon to 1 p.m., three times a week for 10 weeks, at First United Methodist Church at 345 N. Christian illusionist Mitch Gravitte of Marvel Ministries uses magic, illusions and puppets as an outreach event on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at The Salvation Army, 437 Inman St. All pastors, youth/children’s pastors, lay persons, Sunday school teachers, missionaries, coaches and mentors and others interested in learning about this strategic ministry are invited to attend the free event. Take Charge of Your Diabetes six-week course will begin on Friday and continue on Fridays, including Feb. 15 and 22 and March 1, 8, and 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. The course is a fun, skill-building program designed for those with diabetes. It is designed to help individuals take day-to-day responsibility for the care of their diabetes. Class size is limited. To register, contact the UT Extension-Bradley Office at 728-7001 by Feb. 5.

A celebration of life, love and marriage will be held on Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at The Salvation Army 437 Inman St. Speaker, author and marriage counselor Dr. John K. Vining will be the guest speaker. The cost is $55 per couple and includes catered dinner, dessert and flower. (Reserve as soon as possible as seating is limited.) This Marriage Enrichment Event is sponsored by The Salvation Army. The Museum Center at Five Points is offering a variety of quilting classes for adults and children! Come by Saturday and learn beginning quilting with Mary Lou Woods. Children and adults, ages 8 and up, are invited to learn the art of quilting by creating a patchwork potholder. Class starts at 10 a.m. and the cost is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers.
