Real women with real stories of real faith — that’s what “Faith Walkers” is all about. The third volume of “Faith Walkers” comes from the women of Mount Olive Ministries and their friends. The more than 60 chapters include personal stories, poems and favorite recipes — each one drawing you to the next. This is a book for everyone — not for the bookshelf, but to keep at hand.

You’ll see the names of writers and contributors, such as Teresa Norman, an ordained minister and associate pastor at Mount Olive, who with Senior Pastor Gary Sears, directed the production of the book; Melissa Snyder, a former writer with the Cleveland Banner; Jackie Walker, state director of Women’s Ministries of the Church of God; committee members and contributors: Kay Free, Laura Anderson, Susan Baggett, Joy Mathews, Judi Williams and Charletta Sears; and editors: Jackie Poteet, Carrie Beasley, Teresa Henderson, Stephanie Riddle and Zack White.

Sears wrote: “Faith walkers III is written by women who are true, real-life overcomers!” He said you will encounter the supernatural move of God’s hand as He brings them through many tests and trials victoriously. “The testimonies found inside this book are authentic accounts that reflect His goodness, His mercy and His grace.” Reading this book, he adds, “will inspire you to trust in a God who loves you and is eager to shower you with his blessings and favor.”

Some of the topics you will find include: “Happily Ever After,” “One Hundred Years From Now,” “Divorce,” “Steal, Kill and Destroy,” “The Loneliness of Alone,” “The Sweet Fragrance of Forgiveness” and “I Would Still Love You.” Recipes are interspersed throughout the book such as “Faye’s Cheese Ring,” “Faye’s Pineapple Casserole,” “Charletta’s Banana Pudding,” “Sharvetta’s Breakfast Casserole” and “Sue’s Coconut Pie.” The reading and the recipes beckon the readers to relish the good “food.”

“Life is a walk ... Life is journey” is explained in the foreword by Jackie Walker. “When you don’t know where you’re going, remember God knows” speaks of Abraham when he was called to go out into a place ... “not knowing whither he went” (Hebrews 11:8 NKJV). “Everyone,” she writes, “even Faith Walkers, face challenges along the way. Christians aren’t exempt from them — we experience illness, temptation, disappointment, grief and a long list of other problems.” And, she concludes, “our life walk is filled with hazards and bumps along the way. They may change in the various seasons of life — but they will always be there.”

The 151-page “Faith Walkers III” is published by Mount Olive Ministries Publications, 3522 Harrison Pike W., Cleveland, TN 37311 and is priced at $15. For more information, visit wwwmtolivecog.org; or call 479-3381.
