The Five Points Blooming Arts Festival is scheduled for April 26-28 at the Museum Center at Five Points.

The festival will boast more than 30 artists, have local authors on hand to sign their books, and include its popular Friday evening preview party.

Talented museum gallery artists will host their own booths inside the museum from Friday evening until Sunday at 5 p.m.

Art and fine crafts from the talented group include painters, jewelers, wood carvers and turners, metal and glass sculptors, blown and kiln-fused glass artists, photographers and more.

“Meeting the artists and having them talk about their art makes the art come alive,” according to Museum Store manager, Tracy O’Connell.

Buying local art helps support local artists as well as providing revenue to the museum’s educational exhibits and programming.

The Museum Center is open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday, Monday and holidays. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and free for children under 5. Groups of 12 or more are $4 each.

The museum is free the first Saturday of every month. Members of the Museum Center receive free admission.
