He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruby Wright Lawson; daughters: Portia Lawson and D’Nice Carden; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Cofer Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
