According to officials at MCSO, Christopher Allen Green, 25, was believed to be the driver of the vehicle which crashed on North No Pone Valley Road in Decatur. A loaded handgun was found in the vehicle. Green currently has several warrants for his arrest out of Meigs County including felony evading and felony possession of a firearm.

n Bradley County deputies filed a report of a burglary in the South McDonald Road area.
James Saffels said someone kicked a door in at his residence and took a jewelry box, a laptop computer and jewelry.
The thieves apparently went through several rooms of the home, according to a report filed by deputy David Michaels.
Detectives with the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene to collect fingerprints and other evidence.
According to the report, loss was estimated at $1,520.
Investigation is continuing.
n Tennessee Highway Patrol will be conducting Drivers License Roadside Safety Checkpoints in Bradley County beginning this weekend.
The checkpoints will be set up in random location in the county.
According to THP officials, checkpoints are an effective means of recognizing the dangers presented to the driving public, by motorists who would violate the drivers license laws of the state.
All scheduled checkpoints are contingent upon weather conditions and manpower availability.
