The program will consist of 14 sessions with topics in home horticulture areas. Sessions will be from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings. The first class will be Jan. 15. They will be held at the UT-Bradley County Extension building located at 95 Church St. S.E. The total cost for all the training sessions, handbook and materials is $140.
Those who take the training are asked to return one hour of service to the community for each hour of training. This service can be in the form of helping others, such as new residents with lawn or garden problems, helping with school gardening programs, answering phone calls that come into the Extension office concerning lawn and garden problems and many projects currently under way with the Master Gardener Organization.
The Master Gardener Program, as well as all programs sponsored by UT Extension, is open to all eligible persons regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion or veteran status.
