Cleveland Middle School faced off against county rival Lake Forest Middle over the weekend. Despite some tough defense from the Bruins, it was the Raiders who pulled out the 42-36 victory.
“Lake Forest decided to double and triple team Spencer Goode, our big man in the middle, for the entire game. We had to do our best to figure out how to win. All the guys played solid in their roles and being down late, our defensive intensity picked up,” stated CMS head coach J.P. Westfield.
Cleveland Middle’s Raquan Dodd made 10-of-10 free throws in the fourth quater to help his team grab the win. He finished the game with 24 points.
The Raiders will next take the hardwood at Baylor on Tuesday.
