Cindy Langelan and Verlin Hooker, both of Cleveland, were presented to each other in marriage by their children in a noon ceremony on Nov. 17, 2012, at their home on Lead Mine Valley Road.

The bride is the daughter of the late Willard and Kay Jeffries.

The bridegroom is the son of Lester and Barbara Hooker of Cleveland.

The marriage was officiated by the Rev. Dr. Joe Kemper. Neighbor and friend Brad W. presented music. Lester Hooker Sr. officially gave the bride away. The bridal couple rode in on horseback to exchange their vows and horses were used, also, as the getaway vehicle.

Honor attendant for the bride was Rene Boyer of Vandalia, Mich. Bridesmaids were the bride’s daughter, Sara Wickey, and daughter-in-law, Amber Hooker, both of Cleveland. Granddaughter Bailey Hooker of Cleveland was flower girl and Devon Jones of Cleveland was ring bearer.

Bruce White of Cleveland served the bridegroom as best man. The bridegroom’s sons, Blake Hooker and Brady Hooker, both of Cleveland, were groomsmen.

The reception was given by the couple at their home. Special assistance was given by Brenda Moye and her sister Donna, who provided the cake. The help and support of Brett and Rene Boyer is appreciated, also.

The newlywed couple is at home in Cleveland.
