Lauren Cross of Cleveland and Anthony Brown were united in marriage in an evening ceremony on Sept. 8, 2012, at the Museum Center at Five Points.

The bride is the daughter of Brian and Selina Davis of Ocoee and David and Theresa Cross of McDonald. She is the granddaughter of Harold and Shelby Presswood of Benton, the late Sonny Cummings, the late Buford Cross and the late Ethel Cross. She is the sister of Josh Cross of Cleveland and Jacob Cross of McDonald.

The bridegroom is the son of Melvin and Renee Denton of Chattanooga. He is the grandson of Reba Brown of Chattanooga and the late Dr. Raymond Brown. He is the brother of Brandon Brown of Chattanooga.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Don Whitehead, pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Given in marriage by her father, Mr. Cross, the bride was attended by her mother, Mrs. Davis, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Wendy Gibson of Cleveland, Michelle Ward of Benton and Julia Phillips and Kaila Cummings, both of Chattanooga.

The couple’s daughter, McKenzie Brown of Cleveland, was the flower girl. The bride’s brother Jacob was ring bearer.

The bridegroom was served by Anthony Phillips of Chattanooga as best man. Groomsmen included Christopher Roddy, Brandon Brown, David Denton and Matthew Jackson, all of Chattanooga.

The reception was given by the parents of the bride at the Museum Center. JoAnn Whitehead, Chris and Lynn Herron and Betty and Arianna Standridge assisted and served.

The newlywed couple resides in Cleveland.
