The Newcomers of Cleveland will have its first meeting for the 2012-2013 year on Sept. 10 at 9:45 at Broad Street United Methodist Church.

Newcomers is an organization to acquaint newcomers with each other:

— To provide friendship, activities, entertaining and informative programs.

— To serve as a support group as people adjust to their new environment.

— To acquaint newcomers with the city of Cleveland and what it has to offer them.

— To give back to the community through charitable activities.

The monthly meetings include games, activities or speakers from the community. Annual dues are $20. Newcomers is not only for newcomers but anyone who has moved here in the last few years.

Some of the activities offered each month are: Book Club, Bunco, Happy Hour, Coffee and Conversation, knitting and crocheting, Out to Lunch Bunch, walking group, Bridge and Daytime Movie Matinee. Interested persons may sign up for these activities at every meeting.
