She was the daughter of the late Oscar Blaine Bates and Clara Burger Bates. She was preceded in death by son, Robert Ezell Hedrick; and brother, Billy Gene Bates.
She was a seamstress at Vanity Fair and Russell Corp. in Milton, Fla.
She was of the Baptist faith and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Milburn Ezell Hedrick; one daughter, Joyce Perkins and her husband, Darryl, of Milton; two sons: Billy E. Hedrick and his wife, Dusty, of Pensacola, Fla., Earl D Hedrick and his wife, Tracy, of Dickson; a special granddaughter, Americus Perkins of Milton; grandsons: Steven Callahan of Cleveland, Jonathan Hedrick of Pensacola, Robert Hedrick of Dickson, William Hedrick and his wife, Julee, of Dickson and Joby Brock of Pensacola.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Billy Hedrick, Earl Hedrick, Darryl Perkins, Jonathan Hedrick, Robert Hedrick and William Hedrick serving as pallbearers.
