“Take Charge of Your Diabetes,” a program developed by Stanford University, is a six-week course designed to help people with diabetes build skills to improve their health one step at a time.

The program is designed to help individuals take charge of their day-to-day responsibility for their diabetes care.

Participants will develop skills necessary to self-manage their diabetes and work more effectively with their health care professionals.

The six-week course will begin on Aug. 28 and continue on Tuesdays including Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25 and Oct. 2.

The class times will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the UT Extension-Bradley County offices, 95 Church St. S.E., in downtown Cleveland.

There is no cost for the sessions but class size is limited. The UT Extension–Bradley County instructors will be Kaye Smith and Robin Ramsey.
