Cleveland Police continue to try to determine the identities of three people suspected of taking a purse from a shopping cart at Walmart recently.

According to Detective Matt Jenkins of the Criminal Investigations Division, two females and one male apparently took a shopper’s purse without her knowing it at the time.

Video security cameras captured an image of the three adults.

Anyone having information regarding the identity of any of the three people is encouraged to contact Lt. Robert Harbison at 559-3396.

• Deputy Michael Westfield of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office filed a report regarding a missing firearm.

According to his report, Brian Mathews was listed as the victim who said he had given a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber pistol to his daughter.

Mathews said the firearm was stolen from her residence in late July.

Serial numbers were obtained and the firearm was entered as stolen in the National Crime Information Center computer.

• Bradley County officials are also searching for the driver of a vehicle reportedly seen leaving the scene of a crash on North Lee Highway.

The incident occurred Saturday.

Deputy Paul Silveria responded to Bellfounte Baptist Church after a witness said a car had struck the building.

The witness described the suspect as a white female who was wearing a pink bracelet.

According to the report, the driver left the scene, traveling north toward Charleston.

Silveria found evidence that a white Honda had travelled through a ditch through the front yard of the church and struck the building.

No other information was available, according to his report.
