Cleveland Christian School is an important ministry of Cleveland Christian Fellowship.

Classes will begin on Wednesday.

The church and school were founded in 1983 by Pastor Mark Strickland who is a graduate of Valdosta State University in Georgia and also a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Okla.

Since we began, we have been committed to providing continuous, quality Christian education for the Cleveland area.

CCS has classes available from age 4 through 12th grades. The Accelerated Christian Education curriculum, which a self-instructional program allowing students to precede at their own pace of learning, is used.

Teachers work with students on a one-on-one basis throughout the school day. The 4-year-old class is a Reading Readiness program, preparing students for kindergarten, and is an affordable alternative to day care.

The kindergarten class is a Learning to Read program, producing excellent readers by the end of the year.

As far as team sports, CCS is very competitive, offering basketball teams for girls and boys along with a girls’ volleyball team. The school is a charter member of the Southern Christian Athletic Association (SCAA).

Athletic competition is a vital part of the school experience and the gymnasium is a busy, busy place.

“We are thankful to have been given the opportunity to minister to so many children over the years and are excited about our future,” a spokeman said

“A Christ-centered education is a wonderful blessing for any child. We encourage anyone who may be interested to contact us at 423-472-1467. We do have a few spaces available for the upcoming school year,” the spokesman said.

The principal, Margaret Strickland, will be happy to speak with you at any time.

Interested individuals may also visit at 695 South Ocoee Street here in Cleveland.
