Down on the Farm was the theme for the Polk County Junior 4-H camp which was held June 18 through 21 at Camp McCroy. More than 40 4-H members in grades fourth through sixth from across the county enjoyed a camp full of exciting activities. The camp offered classes on creek critters, farm foods, beekeeping, ice cream and butter making, land and soils and crafts. Campers also enjoyed normal camp activities such as field events, sports, talent show, water olympics and just hanging out with friends. As part of the theme the campers enjoyed a field trip to Mayfield Dairy Farms and Sweetwater Valley Dairy Farm where they learned about the production of Milk from farm to products.
