Local students named to McCallie honor rolls

Seventeen area students who attend McCallie School were named to spring semester honor rolls.

Sam Hornsby of Decatur has been named to the spring semester Honor Roll at the McCallie School in Chattanooga.

To qualify for the Honor Roll, a student must earn at least an overall B-plus average with no grade lower than a B-minus.

Sam is the son of Howard and Tenna of Decatur.

John Bryant, Weimer Macuri-Espinoza and Eric Wolf of the Upper School and Will Melton, Bruce Renner, Drew Smith and Grant Smith of the Middle School made the Headmaster’s List.

To qualify for the Headmaster’s List, a student must earn all As in regular courses and no grade lower than a B-plus in honors or advanced placement courses.

Upper School students Ibrahim Aslam, Justin Powers, Zain Siddiqui and Reed Turpin of Cleveland and Josh Bandy of McDonald, and Middle School student Benjamin Holt of Cleveland were listed on the school’s Honor Roll for earning at least an overall B-plus average with no grade lower than a B–minus.

Additionally, the following students were selected for the Faculty Recognition List as a special acknowledgement of their academic efforts during the semester: Josh Bandy, Weimer Macuri-Espinoza, Arturo Rocha, Drew Smith, Grant Smith and Eric Wolf.
