A reception welcoming these two families to Broad Street will be held between the church services, during the Sunday School hour Sunday in the Rymer Garden of the church.
“We invite the community to come and meet these two gentlemen who will be serving Broad Street UMC,” a church spokesman said.
Serving as senior pastor will be the Rev. Randy Martin, who comes from Hixson UMC.
Martin graduated from McCallie School. He is also a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College and Emory University Candler School of Theology.
He was ordained into the Holston Conference in July 1971. He has served throughout the Holston Conference from Pulaski, Va., to Chattanooga.
He and his wife, Patsy, have three grown children and three grandchildren.
The Rev. Skip White is coming to Broad Street UMC from Friendsville UMC.
He was born and raised in North Dakota and graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University and Duke Divinity School. He and his wife, Victoria, have one son, Charlie.
The reception will be held today from 9:15 until 10:30 a.m. Come and meet our new pastors.
There are two church services prior to the reception and two services following the reception.
