The Cleveland-Athens Cotillion recently honored this year's debutante class with a summer luncheon to forever be remembered. Held at the Museum Center at Five Points, the luncheon recognized and celebrated the Cotillion's 50th anniversary. Special guests included the original debutantes of 1963, along with a very special guest speaker, Jackie Callaway, the first president of the organization. Mrs. Callaway mesmerized the audience as she revisited some 50 years ago explaining the original intent and formation of this outstanding and still-standing organization. She spoke of the first debutante presentation, which has proudly remained an annual tradition to the Cotillion. One of the highlights of the luncheon was a showcase featuring debutante gowns worn throughout the years, including gowns from the first ever Holly Ball in December 1963. The luncheon was a memorable celebration of the long-lasting traditions of the Cleveland-Athens Cotillion.
