Beverly Joy Thompson, 65, of Spring City, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 13 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1946, in Cleveland, a daughter of the late R. L. and Doris Thompson.

She lived in the Cleveland and Chattanooga areas and has made Spring City her home for the past 15 years.

She was of the Baptist faith.

She worked as a CNA in the health care industry until her health forced her retirement. Beverly loved and adored her family and cherished spending time together with them. She will be forever remembered for being a loving mother and “Nanny”.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters: Rhonda Reno, Cheryl Hall, and Kimberly Hall; two sons: Bill Hall Jr., and Brian Swanson Sr.; two sisters; Sandy Parkerson, and Janice Hope; one brother, Richard Thompson; a special friend and companion, Robert Reno; and 18 grandchildren. She was also looking forward to the arrival of her first great-grandchild in a few months. She also leaves behind numerous other extended family members and friends.

The family is planning a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
