Hattie Ann Westfield was born in Cleveland, to the late Flora Thomas Benns and Booker T. Jarrett.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Annie and Will Wilson; her husband, James William Westfield; sister-in-law, Nancy Westfield; and her son, Labron Westfield.

She was a lifelong member of St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church in American. She enjoyed communicating with others and was always full of laughter. The presents of her grand and great-grand children was the joy of her life.

She leave to cherish her memories, four sons: George F. (Lemorial) Westfield of Chicago, Il., Vicki B. (Carol Y.) Westfield, Kenneth T. (Rev. Rhonda S.) Westfield, of Cleveland, Fredrick D. Westfield of Alaska; her daughter, Karen A. (Gregory) King of Ellenwood, Ga.; 21 grandchildren: Chris, Karen, Sheketta, Sheena Westfield, and Terrance William, all of Chicago, Victoria Y., Dan Westfield, all of Atlanta, James “J.P.” (Jada) Westfield, all of Cleveland, Kenyatta Y. (Renee) Westfield of Rome, Ga., LewShawnda W (Michael) Burgess of Chattanooga, Martha L. (Mike) Kalombo of Cleveland, Ashley Westfield of Cleveland, Bianca J. Westfield of Atlanta, Natasha L. Westfield of New York, Angela C. Pierce, Chelsea J., Gregory J., and Johnathan O. King, all of Atlanta, Aiden Watkins, Logan Watkins and Addison Halterman, of Rome, Ga.; 13 great-grandchildren: Byron, Brian Dell Jr., Kayla, Rashawn Westfield of Chicago, Jalen, Jaleya Westfield of Cleveland, Keenan P. Westfield of Washington State, Danarius Smith of Chattanooga, A. DeMyah Bryant of Cleveland, Kaidence N. Tolson, and Jessica N. Pierce, both of Atlanta, Baby Kalombo, (October 2012), Baby Westfield (October 2012); her brother-in-laws: Lloyd Westfield and Earl (Johnnie Bell) of Philadelphia; and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.

The body may be viewed Saturday at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair Street S.E. Cleveland, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The family visitation will be Sunday, May 27, 2012, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, East Inman Street, Cleveland, where the Rev. Edward S. Robinson is the pastor.

The service will begin at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Eric Jones, pastor of Christian Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church in American, Chattanooga, will be the eulogist.

Committal and interment will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 10 a.m.

The family will depart from the funeral home at 9 a.m.
