William D. “Willie B” Branam, 35, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at the family residence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Franklin Branam; maternal grandparents, William E. and Bonnie Brewer; and paternal grandparents, Duel “Buttermilk” and Margaret Branam.

He worked for a number of years at Beaulieu of America Carpet Mills and most recently with Santek Corp.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Allison Branam of Old Fort; son, Isaiah Branam; mother, Mary Ruth Branam; sister, Karen Carden; brothers: Jimmy Carden and his wife, Debbie, Jackie Carden and his wife, Melissa, Jeffrey Carden and his wife, Jackie, Franklin Carden and his wife, Ginger, all of Cleveland, Jerry Carden and his wife, Denise, of Benton and James Carden and his wife, Rhonda, of Georgetown; his fiancé, Kim Burger, of Cleveland; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Rob Works and Jackie Carden officiating.

Interment will follow in the Moores Chapel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
